How to use the automatic configuration for the Posteo address book
You can set up the synchronization of your address book automatically with the Posteo configuration file. You just enter your Posteo email address as the username and your Posteo password. To start the automatic setup, open the following link in the browser (Safari only) of your iPhone or iPad:

Important: During installation, use only lowercase letters to enter your Posteo email address.
How to make your Posteo address book the default address book in iOS 11
After installing the configuration file, your iPhone or iPad will copy all contacts from Posteo to your device. In order for this synchronization to work from your iPhone or iPad to Posteo, you can change the default account for contacts. To do so, proceed as follows:
- Open the iOS settings.
- Tap on Contacts.
- Tap on Default account.
- Select Posteo Contacts.
How to manually set up your Posteo address book in iOS 11
For a manual address book setup in iOS 11, proceed as follows:
- Open the iOS settings.
- Tap on Accounts & Passwords.
- Tap on Add account.
- Tap on Other.
- Select Add CardDAV-Account.
- Enter posteo.de as the server, your Posteo email address as the username, your Posteo password as the password and a suitable text such as Posteo Contacts as the description.
- Tap on Next.
You have successfully set up your Posteo address book synchronization on your iOS device. Now make your Posteo address book the default address book.
