Privacy Tip

When you sync your Posteo address book with macOS, other apps can access it on demand. In Apple Mail, for example, you can use the address book to select the recipients of an email. You can see which apps are allowed to access your address book in the macOS system preferences.

To do so, open the System settings and click Security.

Under the menu for Privacy select Contacts. There, you can see all the apps that can access your address book. If you don't want an app to access your address book, simply uncheck the box next to the app.
