How to download and install Mail PassView

Mail PassView is a free program. You can download it from the developer's website.

1. Download the program by clicking Download Mail PassView With Install/Uninstall Support (mailpv_setup.exe).
   You can find the link in the lower part of the page, just above the table.
2. Open the file in your Download folder.
3. Follow the installation instructions.

Please note: Some antivirus programs detect that the Mail PassView program can read your password and block the installation. This assessment is correct. However, reading your password is desired in this case. By adding an exception in your antivirus program, you can install Mail PassView.

How to retrieve your password with Mail PassView

After installation, proceed as follows:

1. Launch Mail PassView.

Mail PassView shows you a list of all login credentials stored in Outlook or Windows Live Mail.

2. Double-click the line with the information about your Posteo account.
3. You will find your password in the new window under Password.
