In this help article, you will learn how to rename a folder in Posteo webmail. System folders like Inbox or Sent can not be renamed.

How to change the name of a folder in Posteo webmail

1. Open Settings.
2. Click on Folders.
3. Click on the folder you want to rename.

Tip: You can manage folders directly from the email view. To do so, click on the cogwheel and then on Manage folders.

4. Enter the new name under Folder name.
5. Confirm the change by clicking Save.

That's it! You have renamed the folder.

If you synchronize your emails with a smartphone or email client, the new folder name will also be displayed on your devices after the next synchronization, or at the latest after a restart of the client.
